Career Details

A career in music for film and TV allows you to combine your creative musical talents with the power of visual media, enhancing emotional connections and elevating the viewer's experience. As film scores play crucial role in setting the mood and tone of scenes, composers have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on audiences. Additionally, the film industry offers diverse projects, from independent films to major blockbusters, providing endless opportunities for growth and collaboration. Catalyst is not a music school - we only teach music for filmmaking. You must have some previous musical experience.

Course Levels

This course is offered for all levels: kids, youth, explore, advanced and professional. This is an ongoing format class, which means it has no set beginning or end. You can continue to take classes until you and your teachers decide it is time for you to move up to the next level.

LEVEL: KIDS

Ages 7-11
1.5 hours per class

LEVEL: YOUTH

Ages 12-16
1.5 hours per class

LEVEL: EXPLORE

Ages 17+
2 hours per class
The explore level is open all beginners and those who are curious to explore the craft

LEVEL: ADVANCED

Ages 17+
2 hours per class
The advanced level is open to those with some previous level of training, and those who are interested in pursuing it as a career.

LEVEL: PROFESSIONAL

Ages 17+
2 hours per class
The professional level is open to those with previous working experience. An entrance interview is required.

Previous Experience Required

Previous music training is required. We do not teach music fundamentals. We do not teach how to play instruments. This course is for people who want to expand their existing musical talents and knowledge into the world of filmmaking.

Registration, Orientation & Payment

You will receive an email with the next available date for your free orientation session. All students must attend their orientation session before they can begin classes.
Payments are made monthly
Pay only for the months you choose to attend. You are not required to pay for the full year.
€125/month for kids & youth
€195/month for explore, advanced, and professional
Students may attend up to two classes per week (max 10 classes per month)

Location

Classes are held in-person in Tirana, Albania. There is no virtual option.
